DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Killer By the Lake (Channel 4, 10.35pm)
Three years after the events of chilling French crime drama Vanished By the Lake, Lise Stocker has settled down with Clovis and her nine-month-old baby in another lakeside town. The couple live in bliss, until two corpses are discovered in the idyllic town, meaning that the couple need to take on a terrifying and challenging new investigation. Maybe it’s time for Lise and Clovis to stop buying homes beside lakes. After the premiere on Channel 4, all episodes will be immediately available online at All 4.
Grand Designs: House of the Year (Channel 4, 9pm)
Kevin McCloud embarks on a nationwide journey to examine the most outstanding homes running for the Royal Insitute of British Architects House of the Year 2018 award. He visits five extraordinary homes that dare to be different: a magnificent monolothic dark-rendered block in London, a controversial cutting-edge glass modernist building in Henley, a glorious north London townhouse filled with Nicaraguan mahogany, a beautiful bright red end-of-terrace property that stands out as much as it blends in and a smart semi-detached home in Newcastle, built by two neighbours working together.
Britain at the Bookies (Virgin Media Two, 9pm)
Documentary following the winners and the losers in Britain’s gambling industry. Self-confessed compulsive gambler Stuart trawls all the shops in Huddersfield, trying his luck on the fixed odds betting terminals. Meanwhile, across the High Street in Huddersfield, eleven betting shops are competing for business. You can see behind the scenes how marketing teams entice people into opening online betting accounts and watch as manager Tony tries to change the reputation of a branch know for its violent and disruptive clientele.
Everybody’s talking about… Prison Break season 6
Yep, it’s actually going ahead! At the start of 2018, FOX confirmed that it was in the early stages of development. Apparently, the new season will go back to the very first frames of Prison Break, so we might be looking at a prequel series. It’ll feature all of your old favourites like T-Bag and Scofield and could return as soon as 2019. (Digital Spy)
